Kanye West has once again found himself at the center of controversy after making a series of inflammatory statements praising Adolf Hitler and expressing anti-Semitic views. The rapper, also known as Ye, took to X (formerly Twitter), where he wrote, “I love Hitler. Now what”, and later declared, “I’m a Nazi” in one of his posts. His comments have sparked outrage among the public, with many calling for accountability and consequences for his remarks.
This is not the first time West has been accused of anti-Semitism. In 2022, he made similar controversial statements, later offering an apology. However, his latest remarks show an escalation in his rhetoric, leading to strong condemnation from organizations, celebrities, and social media users alike. As concerns about the rise of anti-Semitism grow worldwide, West’s comments have reignited debates about hate speech and its consequences.

Kanye West faces backlash over his remarks
West’s controversial statements immediately drew criticism from several organizations, including the American Jewish Committee, which condemned his words as dangerous and contributing to the normalization of hate speech. Public figures also reacted swiftly—actor David Schwimmer called on Elon Musk to permanently ban Kanye West from X, emphasizing the real-life violence such rhetoric can incite.
His ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, also weighed in, publicly denouncing his statements as disturbing and unacceptable. Many fans and social media users have also expressed concern over West’s mental health, as he has previously spoken about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder. However, in recent interviews, he has suggested he might be autistic rather than bipolar, further fueling discussions about his behavior and motivations.
Adding to the backlash, West’s X account was suspended following his repeated anti-Semitic remarks. In what appeared to be his final message before deactivation, he thanked Elon Musk for allowing him to express himself on the platform, calling the experience cathartic.

Grammys controversy and Bianca Censori’s role
West’s controversial social media statements were not the only scandal surrounding him recently. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, his wife, Bianca Censori, attracted widespread attention for her provocative outfit, which led to further scrutiny of the couple. Critics claimed that her appearance was a publicity stunt, to which West responded:
“Anyone saying that my wife’s outfit at the Grammys is a stunt is dumb. She’s been going naked for two years.”
He then made another controversial remark, saying:
“I have dominion over my wife. She is not a feminist. She is with a millionaire; why would she listen to any of you fools?”
West’s comments have been criticized as misogynistic, further fueling outrage surrounding his public behavior.
