For the shortest month of the year, Netflix has revealed which tittles are the newcomers for the streaming platform in 2025. This small selection of movies is being added to the catalogue over the next few days among many others such as Happy Feet, Venom: The Last Dance, Magic Mike XXL, The Wedding Planner, Two Weeks Notice and the Rambo Movie Collection among many others.

However, not every tittle on this list is up to the standards of many of Netflix's viewers with the most refined taste. The movies on the next list are tittles that are being added to the streaming platform and have also scored a 90% of approval on Rotten Tomatoes.

'The Nice Guys' (2016)

Even though "Five guys" was not the box office breakthrough it was hoped to be back in 2016, this action-comedy should have been the start of a new franchise. Sadly, we only got one adventure with private detective duo Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) and Holland March (Ryan Gosling). However, over time, this Shane Black film has gained a dedicated cult following, earning it the recognition it truly deserves.

Summary:

Holland March (Ryan Gosling) is a struggling private investigator in 1977 Los Angeles, while Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) is a tough enforcer who makes a living by hurting people. The two are unexpectedly paired together when a young woman named Amelia (Margaret Qualley) vanishes without a trace. As they dig deeper, Healy and March realize that they're not the only ones searching for Amelia—and those who get caught up in the case end up dead. Their investigation takes them into dangerous territory, where dark secrets unravel at every turn.

Rotten Tomatoes gives "Nice Guys" a 91% of approval

'Parasite' (2019)

As the trailer says: "You believe Parasite is one thing, but it turns into another completely". It is absolutely impossible to figure out this film's plot twist, and it truly stands out among its thriller's counterparts. Parasite, Bong Yoon Ho's masterpiece, also won Oscar for Best Picture Film in 2020.

Summary:

The story follows a struggling family of parents, a son, and a daughter, who barely manage to survive in a society with few luxuries. They get by, until one day, Choi Woo-sik, the son, is given an opportunity to tutor a rich girl through a friend's invitation. This marks the shift from comedy to tragedy, as the family's desire for a better life and the greed for material comforts begin to take hold, leading to unforeseen consequences.

Rotten Tomatoes gives "Parasite" a 99% of approval.

“Train to Busan” (2016)

Another Korean movie is in this list, 'Train to Busan' is considered part of the best South Korean cinema has to offer and is one of the most acclaimed zombie movies in history.

Summary

A mysterious virus spreads across South Korea, turning the infected into zombies. The passengers of a KTX train departing from Seoul desperately fight for survival as they head to Busan, a city believed to be the last safe place in the country.

Rotten Tomatoes gives "Train to Busan" a 95% of approval.
