North Texas to Face Arctic Blast: Frigid Temperatures Follow Monday’s Miserable Weather
After experiencing summer-like temperatures last Saturday, North Texas is set for a cold and gloomy week ahead.
Monday morning brought rain to a large part of the region, and wet weather is expected to continue throughout the day, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. Daily highs are predicted to remain in the mid-40s. Rainfall will intensify later in the evening, with showers expected to affect most of North Texas well into Tuesday morning.
Possible isolated thunderstorms in North Texas
According to the National Weather Service, much of North Texas can expect widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms on Tuesday. Temperatures will remain cool, with highs in the upper 40s.
Rain showers will continue into late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. Widespread rainfall and a few isolated thunderstorms are also forecast for Wednesday, with highs in the low 50s. By Wednesday, average rainfall totals are expected to range from 1 to 2 inches, with some areas possibly receiving up to 3 inches.
The rain will taper off by late Wednesday, but colder weather will follow. Thursday morning will see temperatures in the upper teens in the northwestern parts of the region, with wind chills likely ranging from 10 to 25 degrees, according to forecasters.
In Central Texas, a passing weather system may bring light sprinkles and a few sleet pellets on Thursday, as per the National Weather Service.
