'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' MCU official teaser just dropped—Here's what we know

Marvel Studios surprised their fans this morning with the official teaser of the new movie "The Fantastic Four: First Steps", who will be joining the MCU as part of the “phase six”.

Starring with very well-known figures such as Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (The Thing). Fans are expecting more about this film.

When will 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' be released?

“The Fantastic Four: First Steps” was set to premiere in May 2025 but was then pushed back in Marvel’s calendar for “The Thunderbolts” and is now being released in July 25th.

Directed by Matt Shakman, who also directed WandaVision, this movie will be the first of the First Family of Marvel created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee that will be part of the MCU with great expectations given that their previous versions received mixed to negative reviews.

What is it the movie about?

The movie is set when the team has already had the accident that gave them their powers and are learning to live with them in a retro futuristic aesthetic inspired by the 60’s in the iconic Baxter Building, the headquarters of the Fantastic Four in the comics. Now they must defend Earth from a space god called Galactus who plans to devour the entire planet and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus' plan wasn´t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
