In a statement to CNN, the bank explained that a “technical issue experienced by a third-person vendor” has “temporarily impacted” some of Capital One's services, such as payment processing, deposits, and consumer, small business, and commercial banking operations.

Mass Complaints about Capital One Technical issues

Over the past two days, thousands of users have reported issues on Downdetector, a platform that monitors service outages. Capital One’s support account on X has also been flooded with numerous complaints, many expressed with explicit language, from people unable to pay bills or access their funds.

“We are actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue and apologize to our customers for this inconvenience,” a Capital One spokesperson stated.

Lots of users of the Capital One app are greeted with a message saying it's “currently experiencing technical issues” and that it's “working to fix the problem as quickly as possible”, a fact that they don’t believe in at all, and they are worried about.

Who Is the Third-person Vendor?

That is the main question on everyone’s mind. The vendor involved is FIS Global, a financial technology services provider for major banks, including Capital One. The company has not yet responded to CNN’s request for comment or other media inquiries.
